<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Spiritual life begins when we can control our minds. Ordinarily the mind of a conditioned soul in the material world is completely out of control. For most people, rather than their mind being controlled their minds become servants of their senses. For example if one is walking down a street and sees or smells some very nice food then the tongue is sending messages to the mind telling it that it wants that food to satisfy the sense of taste. So the person, controlled by the urges of the senses, purchases that food and eats it to try and satisfy the whims of the tongue. In the same way all the senses of the body are demanding the mind to supply their particular objects of gratification so the person is actually out of control. He simply becomes a servant of his senses, trying to satisfy their every whim, but the cruel nature of the material world is that no matter what he supplies in an attempt to satisfy his senses they will never be satisfied. They will always demand more, more, more...</span><br />

By His divine love and by demonstrating the ideal way of life He uplifts the ordinary human folk to extra-ordinary level of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlightenment_(spiritual)" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Enlightenment (spiritual)">spiritual enlightenment</a> and God-consciousness.</div>

<i><b>"Sri Sri Ramthakur"</b></i> is such a soul. He is also revered to as <i><b>"Sri Sri Kaibalyanath"</b></i> or <i><b>"Sri Sri Satyanarayan"</b></i>. He took the human form for the spiritual upliftment of all, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, sex, colour and class. A considerable section of His followers were the so-called '<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalit" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Dalit">untouchables</a>' and people of other religions (<a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslims" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Muslims">muslims</a>, <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhists" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Buddhists">buddhists</a>, <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christians" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Christians">christians</a>,etc). <div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
He said that to attain <i>"<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahma" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Brahma">Brahma</a>"</i>, the supreme being, requires a lot of perseverance and practice of the ways and means demonstrated by a great soul. Renunciation of <i>Sansara</i> (material world) is not the only path to realize the Self. God-consciousness may be achieved by chanting of <i>Naama</i> within this mundane world of ours by means of hard work without attachment.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
After setting up <i><b>Sri Sri Kaibalyadham</b></i>, He proclaimed that all the divine deities are present there in it, with full power and heartfelt blessings. In his words, <i>"In future a great soul will appear to disclose the glory of <b>Sri Sri Kaibalyanath</b> and liberate the devotees to attain 'Kaibalyamukti'"</i>. He pronounced that people belonging to all religions will come here and attain their ultimate goal of spiritualism, performing their own ways of worshipping. He said that the <i>Mohunt</i> of <i><b>Sri Sri Kaibalyadham</b></i> should be regarded as the empowered representative of <i><b>Sri Sri Kaibalyanath</b></i> himself and will be the supreme spiritual and administrative head of <i><b>Sri Sri Kaibalyadham</b></i>.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
His exemplary ways of life and His invaluable advices, showered throughout His life, provided guidelines for ideal and sacred life and the right path for seeking God. His innumerable letters and the diaries of His intimate disciples, are replete with His precious advice. The valuable extracts of His letters written to various devotees, have been compiled as <i><b>"Veda-Vani"</b></i> in three volumes.</div>

<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<br /><b>FIRST PHASE</b><br /><i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> was born in the famous <i>Bidyalankar</i> family at <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingamanik" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Dingamanik">Dingamanik</a>, in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faridpur_District" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Faridpur District">Faridpur</a> district, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Bangladesh">Bangladesh</a>, in the month of <i>Magha</i>, 1266 B.S (2 February 1860) on Thursday, the 10th of the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Moon" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="New Moon">New Moon</a> with Rohini (Aldebaran) in the ascendant. His father (late)<i>Radhamadhab Chakravarty</i> was an ascetic, devoted to penance according to the tantras. His mother (late) <i>Kamala Devi</i> had a frank and simple nature. <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> had two elder brothers, one twin brother and one sister.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> was from His early years different from the others. He, since His boyhood, always liked to be alone with Himself. His chief pastime was worshipping the gods and goddesses. His schooling at the primary institution was brief. As a boy He felt strongly attached to, and was deeply loved, by His father's spiritual guide (late) <i>Mrityunjoy Nyayapanchanan</i>, who passed away one year after His father's death. <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> was then only 8 years old. Soon after, on the third day of the New Moon of <i><a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaishakha" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Vaishakha">Vaishakha</a></i>, He was initiated by the <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Guru">Guru</a></i> in a subtle and mysterious way. A few years after, He met the <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Guru">Guru</a></i> in embodied form at <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamakshya" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Kamakshya">Kamakshya</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assam" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Assam">Assam</a>.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<br /><b>SECOND PHASE</b><br />The second period of <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur's</b></i> life is shrouded in mystery. From <i>Kamakshya</i> He disappeared with His <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Guru">Guru</a></i> to return home after 8–10 years. During this period He visited several places at <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Himalayas" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Himalayas">Himalayas</a></i> and other places. Soon after He probably went to <i><a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noakhali" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Noakhali">Noakhali</a></i>,<i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Bangladesh">Bangladesh</a></i>, and spent a few years there and at <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feni" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Feni">Feni</a></i>, <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Bangladesh">Bangladesh</a></i>, where Poet <i>Nabin Chandra Sen</i> met Him. He was then 26/27 years old. Immediately after, He disappeared again to reappear in <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolkata" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Kolkata">Kolkata</a></i> around 1902-'03.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
When His mother died in 1903, He was in <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalighat" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Kalighat">Kalighat</a></i> . He next spent a few years in the well-known village of <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uttarpara" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Uttarpara">Uttarpara</a></i> in the suburbs of<i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolkata" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Kolkata">Kolkata</a></i> and one day disappeared from there. <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> and His twin brother <i><b>Sri Sri Lakshmanthakur</b></i> were unmarried.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<br /><b>THIRD PHASE</b><br />For more than a year He was on walking tours in the south, and returned home probably towards the end of 1907 or beginning of 1908. From this time till His passing away, during various crises like the two <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wars" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="World Wars">World Wars</a>, <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riots" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Riots">riots</a>, <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famines" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Famines">famines</a>, <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_movements" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Political movements">political movements</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_explosion" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Nuclear explosion">nuclear explosion</a>and British repression, He stood by the suffering humanity giving them constant courage, hope and blessings while moving from door to door. During the last few years of His life, in spite of His frail health, the tempo of <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur's</b></i> ministrations increased tremendously. His grace overflowed and touched the lives of thousands of men. <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> entered <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahasamadhi" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Mahasamadhi">Mahasamadhi</a></i> on the third day of the <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Moon" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="New Moon">New Moon</a> of <i><a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaishakha" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Vaishakha">Vaishakha</a></i> 18, 1356 B.S (May 1, 1949) at <a class="new" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chaumohani&action=edit&redlink=1" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #ba0000; text-decoration: none;" title="Chaumohani (page does not exist)">Chaumohani</a>, a town in the District of <a class="mw-redirect" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noakhali" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Noakhali">Noakhali</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Bangladesh">Bangladesh</a>. Without the blessings of <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i>, it is quite impossible for someone to talk or put anything in black and white about <i><b>Sri Sri Thakur Ramchandra Dev</b></i>, an incarnation of <i>Bhagwan <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narayana" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Narayana">Narayana</a></i>. He disliked self-propaganda so much so that even if at some point of time His divine prowess happened to get revealed to ordinary people, He used to make light of the matter saying - <i>"These things just happen!"</i></div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
His teachings and philosophy transpired through His personal ways of life, behaviour etc., His sermons to His disciples seeking His advice on different matters and His numerous letters written to His countless followers and those in distress.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<br /><b>PERSIONAL LIFE</b><br /><i>"Pardon me. I am not an advisor, but a mere example,"</i> said <i><b>Sri Sri Ramthakur</b></i> once after delivering His valuable advice. He was a living example. What was the experience of His lucky disciples who had got the enviable opportunity to come close to Him? He was as great, liberal, solemn, generous, calm and quiet as the vast firmament unmoved by all storms, stresses mishaps, blots, joy and sorrow. Seasons did have no impact on Him at all. Like that very endless space He would shower His love and affection equally upon everyone, irrespective of their <a class="new" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Financial_status&action=edit&redlink=1" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #ba0000; text-decoration: none;" title="Financial status (page does not exist)">financial status</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Knowledge">knowledge</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisdom" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Wisdom">wisdom</a>, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vice" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Vice">vice</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtue" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Virtue">virtue</a>. He even used to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlightenment_(spiritual)" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Enlightenment (spiritual)">enlighten</a> people putting the most nonsensical queries before Him with utmost patience and without getting irritated a bit.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
The embodiment of immense spiritual power, He always remained most courteous and strove for the betterment of the common man. Ever oblivious of His own comfort, never ever did He tolerate the slightest bit of indifference to His accompanying followers wherever He went and it would turn out to be a most uphill task to prevent Him from leaving that place at once under such circumstances. He was so gentle and courteous that He would always use the term 'apni' (you - used formally) to call someone and 'tumi' (you - used informally) in case of mere minors. During His stay in the residence of any of His disciples or followers or wherever it be, He would always mingle with others like the nearest one and did not even hesitate to contribute physical labour since he was totally devoid of any kind of dogma or ego. He was impartial in the true sense. This apart, excess, in any form, was not to His liking. He loved to live a very simple life - be it in terms of clothing or food. One ordinary <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhoti" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Dhoti">dhoti</a></i> and an ordinary <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chadar" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Chadar">chadar</a></i> for clothing and a very nominal quantity of milk or dry fruits or boiled vegetables were sufficient for His daily life.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
Besides, He was diligent and self-dependent. Discipline and dutifulness were parts of His life. Uttering even a single word or going somewhere without any reason were against His nature. It could be spelled without any hesitation that our mortal world would certainly benefit if the instances left behind Him were followed.</div>
<div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0.4em;">
<br /><b>HIS TEACHING</b><br />He would show His followers the path of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlightenment_(spiritual)" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: initial; background-image: none; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; color: #0645ad; text-decoration: none;" title="Enlightenment (spiritual)">enlightenment</a> with the help of very simple advice like, <i>"Chant His name always wherever you are. Do your duties and keep faith. That will do since the Almighty and His name are inseparable, identical and the same. One can even overcome the predestined by chanting His name alone. Showiness is not desirable as it blurs the truth."</i> His sweet and hearty advice lies deep-rooted in the hearts of His followers.</div>

<strong>Sri Sri Kaibalyadham, Jadavpur, Kolkata, India</strong></div>
<img align="left" border="0" height="160" hspace="4" src="http://WWW.srisriramthakur.org/images/hermitage_jad1.jpg" vspace="0" width="543" /><span style="font-size: large;">I</span>t was 1940 when Sri Sri Thakur was staying in a house at Kolkata. One day during a conversation with His close disciples Thakur said to late Dr.Kshitibhushan Sen that He did not have any place to stay. Rather surprised to hear this, Dr. Sen said that he had a land at Jadavpur, Kolkata, and he would be glad to build a house for Thakur if He so wanted. Thakur agreed to that proposal and came to see the land with Dr. Sen. Where at present the Tulshimanch has been constructed, Thakur stood at that very spot. Thakur liked the land and said that there would be a small two storied building with one bed room and verandah on the first floor and another room at ground floor. Thakur also said that the staircase of the building would be very narrow so that only one person could move there at a time. Thakur would stay in the first floor and call someone by ringing a bell, if needed. Thakur asked to demarcate the place as Satyanarayan peeth where He was standing and describing His desire. He also asked to show Him the whole plan when it would be ready. When the plan was ready, Thakur approved it and the construction of the building was over by 1942. Dr. Sen met Thakur and He declared with great joy the date of Grihaprabesh as 13th Falgun, 1349 B.S (26th February, 1942).<br />
The disciples were conveyed accordingly and preparations were made to turn this occasion a grand success. On 13th Falgun, Thakur was staying at the house of late Kunjalal Majumder, one of His very devoted follower, at 11, Earl Street, Kolkata, and did not attend the function despite repeated prayers of His disciples and did not even meet any of His disciples who came to attend the ceremony. However, He was kind enough to direct His close disciples to take His sacred shoes to the function. Those sacred shoes were worshipped by Srimat Shyamacharan Chattopadhyay, the second Mohant of Sri Sri Kaibalyadham. Thakur also declared that temple at Jadavpur as the another Sri Sri Kaibalyadham and it would be a branch of Sri Sri Kaibalyadham at Pahartali, Chittagong, Bangladesh. After much persuasion and prayers from the disciples, He obliged them by arriving in front of Sri Sri Kaibalyadham, Jadavpur, stayed there for some time in the car itself and came back to the place where He was staying.<br />
<div align="center">
<img border="0" height="150" hspace="4" src="http://WWW.srisriramthakur.org/images/hermitage_jad2.jpg" vspace="0" width="183" /> <img border="0" height="150" hspace="5" src="http://WWW.srisriramthakur.org/images/hermitage_jad3.jpg" vspace="0" width="200" /> <img border="0" height="150" hspace="5" src="http://WWW.srisriramthakur.org/images/hermitage_jad4.jpg" vspace="0" width="200" /> <img border="0" height="150" hspace="4" src="http://WWW.srisriramthakur.org/images/hermitage_jad6.jpg" vspace="0" width="112" /></div>
Initially, the office and the kitchen for mahaprosad was on the ground floor at that time. In front of the temple, a Tulsi mancha was set up where Satyanarayan puja was performed everyday by the devotees with kirtan. Later on, this temple and the Tulsi-mancha were renovated and a new attractive Shrine was constructed, where the photograph of Sri Sri Kaibalyanath is now worshipped everyday. A separate three storied building was also constructed within its premises for accommodating office, Charitable dispensary, kitchen, room for serving mahaprosad, room of Mohant, Library, room for initiating new devotees etc. A display cum sale section having books on life and teachings of Thakur, published from Sri Sri Kaibalyadham and various photographs of Thakur has also been set up in the ground floor. Over the years, this Dham has gradually developed in different directions like running a charitable medical center with experienced and specialized doctors in different branches of allopathy and homoeopathy, extending financial aid for the treatment and education of the needy and poor and arranging seminars for the promotion of awareness of diseases like cancer, diabetes etc. Every year the annual festival of this Dham is performed on the date of its inauguration and thousands of devotees assemble on that day. Devotees from different parts of India and even from Bangladesh come to pay their respect.<br />

The Saviour shows the right path to set them free from their predicament. By His divine love and by demonstrating the ideal way of life He uplifts the ordinary human folk to extra-ordinary level of spiritual enlightenment and God-consciousness.<br />
Sri Sri Ramthakur is such a great soul. He is our most revered "Sri Sri Kaibalyanath" or "Sri Sri Satyanarayan". He took the human form for the spiritual uplift of all irrespective of religion, caste and class. A considerable section of His followers were the so-called 'untouchables' and people of other religions. Most of them were drawn towards Him fascinated by His magnetic divine personality, His magnanimity & affection for all and also by His pleasant personality.<br />
He said that to attain "Brahma", the supreme being, requires a lot of perseverance and practice of the ways and means demonstrated by a great soul. Renunciation of 'Sansara' (material world) is not the only path to realize the Self. God consciousness may be achieved by chanting of 'Nama' within this mundane world of ours by means of hard work without attachment.<br />
After setting up 'Sri Sri Kaibalyadham', Thakur proclaimed that all the divine deities are present here with full power and heartfelt blessings. "In future a great soul will appear to disclose the glory of Sri Sri Kaibalyanath and liberate the devotees to attain Kaibalyamukti". Thakur pronounced that people belonging to all religions will come here and attain their ultimate goal of spiritualism performing their own ways of worshipping. He said that the Mohunt of Kaibalyadham should be regarded as the empowered representative of 'Sri Sri Kaibalyanath' and will be the supreme spiritual and administrative head of 'Sri Sri Kaibalyadham'.<br />
Thakur's exemplary ways of life and His invaluable advice, showered throughout His life, provided guidelines for ideal and sacred life and the right path for seeking God. His innumerable letters and the diaries of His intimate disciples, are replete with His precious advice. The valuable extracts of His letters written to various devotees, have been compiled as "Vedavani" in three volumes.<br />
<strong>Sri Sri Thakur said :</strong><br />
<blockquote>
<em>Surrender to God empowers the soul to secure its deliverance from the worldly entanglements brought on by the revolving wheel of Fate. Whatever is your allotted portion in life in terms of material gains and mental riches should be accepted as God's merciful gift unto you. ( Vedavani, Part-II, No. 202).</em></blockquote>

<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Radhamadhab Chakraborty, father of the saint was very sincere and whole-hearted pious. He was a well-known and devoted Brahmin. Siddhatantracherjee Mritunjoy Naypanchanon was his family sage. His place of meditation-'Panchabati' still exists in the eastern side of their home. He was a vegetarian for whole life. He acquired a fanatic capacity of tolerating excessive cold during the winter season. This saint used to pray standing into the pond of cold water even at the shivering cold night of Magh. He left for eternity at the age of 50 in 1273 Bangla when the Thakur was only eight-year-old. The boyhood of Thakur, at the death of his father, was tossed seriously.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Sreesree Thakur's mother-Srimati Kamaladevi was very pious, simple and generous. She was well-reputed for devotion and sincerity to religion. She was ever vigilant while observing austerity and other worships. She paid heed to peace and happiness of others brushing aside of her own. He also passed away in the month of Jaistha in 1310 Bangla, 1903.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #003366;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">The ancestral home of the Thakur was at Japsa village of </span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Faridpur</span><span style="font-family: Arial;"> (</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">South Bikrampur). It was situated at a place about ten miles off north western Dingamanik. Japsa had good reputation owing to various reasons. Biddyalankar family was a famous Brahmin one in this village. The name of the father of Radhamadhob Chakraborty was Ranjoy Chakraborty. He expired in Japsa. Radhamadhob, father of the Thakur was compelled to enter into Dingamanik leaving Japsa as his ancestral homesteads was devoured by Kirtinasa-limb river of the Padma. He started to live there getting married Kamaladevi.</span></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Sree Krishna Chandra Bhattacherjee, grandfather of Kamaladevi-mother of Sreesree Thakur was a noted scriptural scholar. He was the house-pandit of 'Rajnagar'., established by the then king Rajbhallaba. Pandit Krishnachandra obtained huge endowed property as reward from the king as per convention of the then period. Sadhonananda Bhattacherjee, his elder son owned one third of his property by heir. His lone daughter Kamaladevi became the heiress of the said property as he died.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">The Thakur had four brothers including twin and a sister. Elder brother Kalikumar was righteous and philanthropist. He was attacked with serious rheumatism at his youth age, although, saved due to his father's efforts but became bed-ridden as his both the legs paralyzed for ever. He passed off his life in worships sacrificing himself at the hands of the almighty. Second elder brother-Jagabandhu was very simple and generous. Sreesree Thakur joined the funeral rites while he left for eternity. Sreesree Thakur's twin one Laksman Thakur was laborious, philanthropist and righteous. His body was amazed on hearing the name of Hari. Life bachelor Laksman Thakur always devoted himself for the service of ailing humanity. He was well-known to all as "Haribola". He died of cholera at the age of 57/58. Kashimoni, the lone elder sister of the Thakur was of simple and obliging character. All loved her owing to her sweet behaviour.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #003366;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">There was no lacking of care about the education of the Thakur by his parents, no want of amenities also. There was a secondary high school in front of muslim jamindar house at Kartikpur which turned as Kartikpur </span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">High School</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;"> later. Sreesree Thakur got admitted there. But he had no willingness to study although used to go to school regularly like others. He did not take education in the school later due to this unwillingness.</span></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Sreesree Thakur was not impatient like other boys in his early days, although, interested in sports. Patience and amiable personality were exposed to him. All irrespective of elder and younger were amazed with his simplicity, short speaking and excellent behaviour. He was very laborious and devoted to religion. He was exclusively allegiant and devoted to superiors including parents, brothers and sisters and neighbours. He would discharge laborious works unhesitatingly. He prepared the images of gods and goddesses with earth and worshipped them with spontaneous joy. He had strong desire for supernatural music. Ramayana songs were very popular in that area. He used to go to different places with his brother-Laksman to hear the Ramayana songs with the consent of his mother. Once Sreesree Thakur told his mother "oh mother, Ramayana songs speak only of myself and Laksman". He was expert in thorough telling, hearing and reading of religious books like Sreematbhagawat and Puran etc. He was fond of Shyama Sangeet He paid much heed to odds. His heart was in eternal world, although worked externally. Expiry of his father and Mritunjoy Nayapanchanon, afterwards, brought about a spiritual change to the life of the boy-Ramchandradev. He became frustrated and mum. His such change over made all including the guardians 'anxious'. Observing this change over of 9-year-old Ramchandra, somebody thought upanayana could help solve the problem. Kalikumar Chakraborty, elder brother of the Thakur accomplished the upanayana of Ram and Laksman becoming 'Acherjee'. He fed them 'panchagabbya' before the upanayana as per convention of the than society. Then the Thakur forbade rice from that day for ever. Although, some exceptions were made for a few times, it was only at the request of his mother and the special disciples. But he felt sick again and again to carry out the requests. A handsome saint appeared before them while floating 'Danda' with his mother Kamaladevi after the 'upanayana'. He looked at Ram straightly and prayed to his mother for handing over the boy to him. But what a pity! Ram, he's my eyeball. Nobody hands over such a boy to any sage!. The saint, although, overturned on that day, but Ramtanu was gripped in his heart.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Upanayana didn't help to relieve his restlessness rather initiated close nearness to the nature. Supernatural beacon is urging him in free home of infinite sky. Ram is now engaged himself with prayer amidst uttering key hymns and he started to be illuminated with the induction an eternal power under the ray of meditation. His sacrificed life is going on under the urge of an eternal guide. He as like as initiated to be unified with Bhagawatdham after being exposed with an eternal ray amid internal soul.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Four years passed off since the expiry of his father. A good moment knocked, at that time, in his life. Ram is in deep sleep with quite happiness. Suddenly, a handsome saint emerged in front of him while dreaming. The saint uttered key hymns near his ear and said "oh boy, utter this regularly and effectively, path of freedom would be opened soon". A great power was started to flourishing automatically in the inter-life of boy Ram under the influence of hymns he heard in dreams as a reform of rebirth. New shape of eternal grace begin to be exposed, although Ram wanted to stay aloof.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">A lot of extra-ordinary incidents were exposed during his visit to Chandranath of Sitakund Upazila under Chittagong district and at the Kalipuja organized by the town at the age of 12 years and began to pass-off days by engaging himself in a spiritual world.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">In order to sacrificing himself to the supernatural world completely, Ram crossed over many thorny and hilly ways and was on prayer awaiting a pass moment with spiritual heart at the annual Ambubachi festival of Kamrup Kamakkya-one of the world's places of real power where he met his preceptor Sree Anangadev. Later the Thakur was converted and started Himalayan tour. He, by the grace of his preceptor, during Himalayan tour, came to the touch of a lot of supernatural places of meditation. Gods and goddesses and great saints and back to locality with a responsibility of great inter-relation of supernatural power reflecting indomitable will of fate to flow in supernatural activities as a perfect 'Brahmabid'. Sreesree Thakur adopted diversified activities of meditation world as his allowances of traveling being imbued with the touch of the preceptor faculty and sacrificed himself for the cause of suffering animals obeying the order of the preceptor. He started his mission from that day to awake the neglected humanity of a special part of the then undivided India .He began to disburse 'Sreenam' among the drowning men for their eternal emancipation (Koiballya). 'Great hymn is the only way of unifying between individual soul and supreme spirit in 'koli period' - it is one of his messages. He paved the way of eternal freedom of humanity exposing his own form with the dispersed light of spiritual freedom during his life. His life was the store of unlimited amorous sport. He is still not paled with the light of supernatural activities regularly with exclusive disciples after fifty years of his departure.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: #003366; font-size: small;">Innumerable disciples from both home and abroad are continuing regular prayer with strong desire to be covered with piety life through adopting great power of 'Sreenam'. They are working with indomitable will to be enlightened with joyous world making their life 'Rammoy' by the touch of Sreesree Koiballyanath.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 16px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #003366;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">He enriched the store of amorous activities awakened qualities and paved the way of spiritual freedom with a view to building a society free of all sorts of discrimination and prejudices during his entire ninety-year life. He left for eternity at 1.30 pm</span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> on </span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">May one,1949,18th Baishakh ,1356 Bangla at the Bunglow of Upendra Saha in Chowmuhani area of Noakhali in Bangladesh. His graveyard was fixed at that room where he passed away and a grave-temple now exists there. A mammoth Mohotshob is observed there every year with the participation of lakhs of devotees. They are visiting the place regularly with a strong desire to relieve from earthly sufferings after being sacrificed themselves to the legs of Sreesree Thakur.</span></span></span></div>
